Question #22: What is your favorite occupation?

Throughout my life, I have been given the opportunity to look into a menagerie of occupations and throughout my time I have become enamored with each and every single one. The reasoning behind this though is probably because I found and watched passionate people in each.

The occupation I hold now after earning my Associate of Science in Marketing is that of the Marketing Coordinator at a nonprofit organization promoting the chasing of dreams through increased literacy. I am known as the Marketer and Public Relations person at the organization and with my knowledge and Associate of Science in Accounting I am likely to soon hold the Accountant position also. I am the avid supporter of those who create the learning environment needed by community members that come to us in search of help in their literacy dreams and I complete my tasks to give them the appearance that will best assist them in enabling the growth of others. This occupation is my favorite as I am able to support those who wish to learn while utilizing the skills I have worked so hard to gain. I work with a team of people who support others and believe in a cause and do so passionately. You don't go into a nonprofit looking to make money, you go into a nonprofit to make a difference no matter how small it is.

My favorite occupation is I believe one of my own creation, my favorite occupation is being me in every capacity. I take it very seriously, as I am a volunteer, an event and wedding planner's apprentice, a cleaner, a marketer, an accountant, a public relations officer, an advocate for learning, a tutor, a secretary, a freelance designer, a blogger, an artist, a character designer, a writer, and most importantly I am me. Live the life you want to and be the best you, you can be in whatever capacity that is. Personally, I am here to make a difference in other's lives to give them the opportunities to be the best they can be. Be passionate in what you do and pursue it and if people tell you that you won't be able to make it, just prove them wrong, that's what I have been doing all my life. People will make assumptions and you need to learn to ignore them and live life the way you believe is best for you. Respect those around you and support those that are passionate about the things that they do.
